Theres no a system and a team in Colorado. The oilers on the other hand is a circus act.
There are also questionable decisions done by the oilers..say drafting Nail Yakupov or the continuing hire of former oiler greats who do not have a proven record.
A lot of teams must be glad to have dodged the bullet with Eakins.

I wouldn't blame it on Eakins..there's a reason there's a consistent coach turnover in Edmonton..it has to do with the office. You could put Babcock or whoever behind the Oilers bench and they would still lose..coaching isn't the issue. The management is a major issue, and unless that changes, the Oilers will keep losing. There's a poisonous culture in that organization. Look at guys like Pronger and Souray, who have asked to be traded out of that hellhole.
