Marty Havlat is a shell of his former self from his Ott/Chi days. He had like groin reconstruction surgery in the off-season and really only until the last 10-15 games has he looked remotely effective, his game breaking speed is gone but his hands are still there. With all that ragging said though, he did put up 22 pts in 48 games which doesn't look like much but 20/22 were at even strength which is actually pretty good. The problem with him is he seems to only play well with Marleau-Couture, but Nieto > Havlat right now on that line. It is nice to know though should a winger get injured that there are guys like Havlat and Tyler Kennedy waiting to come in.

Reminded me of one of the FB posts on the Vancouver Canucks Page.
"At least your a + something this year".
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place... and I donīt care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently, if you let it. You, me or nobody, is gonna hit as hard as life. But ain't about how hard you hit... It's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward... how much you can take, and keep moving forward. Thatīs how winning is done. Now, if you know what you worth, go out and get what you worth. - Rocky Balboa
In 2011, Cooke received what amounted to a 17-game suspension for elbowing New York Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh in the head. Cooke was banned for the remainder of the regular season and the first round of the playoffs that spring. Sobered by the punishment, Cooke said he needed to change the way he plays.
"My actions will prove it," he told reporters then.
so much for that
Columbus just gave up 3 quick goals to make 4-3 PIT...
