If the rumours are true i dont really blame him. Look where the team is headed? And all the trades over the last few years indicates that were headed into mediocrity. Unless we make a couple big moves which most likely wont happen, this team is fucked.

According to that reporter mentioned in the article, Kesler has wanted a trade long before Torts became the coach. Off ice issues?
I don't know what Kesler would want from his coach. Torts has given him tonnes of ice time, one of the highest amounts of playing time per game in the NHL. Report: Kesler asks Canucks for trade - Sportsnet.ca
Perhaps Kes wants a change of scenery and play for a Cup contending team.
