Imperial Palace, Kanadian Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, 1925

Built in 1907, the Glen Brae Manor in Shaughnessy Heights was briefly the headquarters of the KKK in 1925. By the 1930s, people were referring to the lavish mansion as the “Mae West." Since 1995, it has been Canuck’s Place, a children’s hospice.

^ doubt that little fact is advertised on a plaque.

If any of you are into Vancouver history, check out the Vancouver Police Museum. It's on the corner of Dunlevy and Cordova. I think there's a 2 for 1 thing on Groupon.
