FOUND CAT, VANCOUVER JOYCE AREA July 7/2013

Found this orange/black/white very friendly cat wandering around in my neighborhood. I did not recognize it as one of the local outdoor cats. It was meowing and approaching dogs on the street and it let me pick her up right away without any problem. I put her down two times and she just stayed in the same spot. Cat looked clean and nails were nice and long so I think it’s an indoor cat. It was spotted in the morning going out of my underground parking lot. It has a tattoo in the ear that is hard to read, but I will try again in the morning. Does not eat dry cat food but she was ok with wet food (salmon pate). Since it was 7 pm evening (July 7th) I brought her in. My area has lots of raccoons and some coyotes and cat did not look street smart. I will take her to the vet tomorrow and get her scanned for a chip. Maybe they can read the tattoo better than me. She is sitting in my condo now glaring at my senior cat.

UPDATE: took her to spca shelter to see if they could read the ear tattoo. Turns out the original owner lived in port coquitlam and the cats name is Sassy. ( I had named it Chipper for some reason ). The cat was rehomed many years ago and we can not find the new owners. If anyone know of a missing cat named Sassy please contact me)
