| Netbook Overheated Affecting Blacklight?
I accidently left my netbook in my netbook bag (zipped) in standyby mode for a few hours. When I noticed, and took it out, it was incredibly hot so I turned everything off. When it cooled off and I turned it back on again, I noticed that the backlight of the LED panel is no longer as bright as before. Could the overheating been the cause of it? Anyway I can fix this?

Fluorescent or LED backlight? I could see overheating causing a failure in CCFL.

It happens. My HP laptop hard drive failed when I had a huge block of ice in my backpack for whatever reason (cannot recall) pressed up against it. Got a new hard drive under warranty and no issues up to this point.

What relevancy does your hard drive failure have with his affected screen?
The closest thing I've experienced is having my ip5 overheat, and the screen brightness became really dim until it cooled down significantly.
Buying a new screen like you did is probably the best solution
