Working in the US

Anyone know anything about applying for a US temporary work permit? Advice?

What position are you applying for? What skillset/education do you have?

You need a US company that is willing to sponsor you. 3 main types of visa for Canadians.
H2B, H1B and TN-1. But good luck getting a H1B.

Actually it's more of a contract job that a Canadian company is paying me for. I'm only bringing down myself and some tools and staying for three days.

I just didn't know what to search for online and I know if that I step into the us consulate or go to the border they'll mark and possibly make it difficult for me to cross. It's happened once before
