Local Getaways in Fall

Looking to get away for a long weekend with the lady in October or November, was wondering if you guys had any suggestions? Just looking for some R&R time to unwind, no wintersports or anything. Maybe look up a rental vacation property.

Whistler or Harrison are obvious choices, so wanted something different. Nothing in the interior as I don't want to risk driving on the Coquihalla in winter.

Thanks!

Tofino, Victoria are other great choices. Seattle, Portland.

Gulf Islands, Tofino as mentioned above(wickaninnish inn is rated one of the top resort in NA, usually $300+ a night though, $550 if you want a suite), Comox/Courteney has a decent resort, maybe even Nanaimo, Sunshine coast..
You would need ferry ride for them and it's not cheap nowdays though..

Galiano Island Resort. Only a 50 min ferry right AND the resort is next to the terminal so you don't need a car
