So i don't get it; is everyone hypercritical of this guy cause he's from here? or do you not find any of the pranking youtubers funny (vitaly, epic5, romanatwood etc)...by your standards, those guys do some pretty disrespectful stuff and may waste people's time.
Those guys are all tools. Especially vitaly.
Here's a template of his videos
Piss someone off royally
*bro chill, we're just filming chill!* while running away
Anyone can do what these guys do, that's why it's not funny or original.
These are the guys I find funny:
LAHWF or Scary Snowman for "pranks" and Brosciencelife
I read through the comments, so just going to address some things/posts in no specific order.
Obviously what's considered funny or not funny is always going to be subjective. ALWAYS.
So I'm not sure why everyone in here is getting so uptight about different style of pranks.
I'm actually subscribed to almost all the pranksters listed in this thread, so I have a wide range of acceptance.
While I don't always agree with the specific pranks, I still appreciate the entertainment.
Some actually make me LOL, some make me go " can't believe this guy's crazy enough to pull this off in public." Shock factor maybe?
If you think about it, ALL pranks are wasting the victim's time. So time wasting is a invalid argument. Being too desperate is also stupid.
There's SO many people trying to become popular in YouTube, so many people fail.
Maybe because they WEREN'T desperate enough to take their "career" to a serious level.
A cookie cut template of everyone being exactly the same isn't going to get people anywhere.
So I'm not all that surprised if some pranksters try to push boundaries to get the extra edge of attention.
It's interesting that LAHWF is implied as original. And Vitaly or RomanatWood isn't.
It takes some serious balls (or craziness) to put yourselves out there to the point of getting arrested.
In comparison, LAHWF's would be the "easier" thing to replicate. Don't get me wrong though, I find LAHWF hilarious as well.
And no one tells people in advance that they are filming. That would defeat the purpose. Sometimes, they let them in on the joke AFTER the prank.
And Vitaly is actually quite offensive, considering he gets in trouble with the cops here and there.
But it's not illegal to film pranks in a public place, so they can't really do anything.
Also to note, Chengman's pranks aren't usually singling out people, but he crashes a location, and basically performs a public stunt.
So it's understandable if he pisses off a mass amount of people at one go. I personally think his twerking one was his dumbest prank of all.
His squirtle prank actually had a higher number of dislikes than usual (at least in the first week of its posting),
and a bunch of comments (I assume from Chengman fans) were even calling him out for going overboard.
But his SFU lecture crashings seem to be quite positive. So you try some things, and they don't always work. And sometimes they do.
But for any of these YouTube "stars" out there, it's silly to even judge who they really are based on their YouTube persona's.
Hell, it amazes me how many people still think Peter Chao is the real deal, and not just some made up character/personality used in front of the camera.

inb4 TL;DR.

No joke, I know someone personally makes 50k showing other girls how to put make-up on. Posted via RS Mobile
I wonder, how much subscribers does she have?
P.s. Vitalyz is fake guys, someone debunked it and noticed consistent characters throughout his videos. He's a former russian porn actor, went on to this.
People should realize, Vitalyz would be dead by now with the crap he has pulled off (If it was real). If any of you guys actually believed his shit, then damn. I guess a sucker is born every minute.
Even read the successful youtube stars have been paying people to write the scripts/editing, as it's just a job to them now. Smart.

I usually just sit back and enjoy prank videos without analyzing too much into them.
I decided to look into this, and sure enough, other forums have called him out. But what exactly is "fake"?
Although for the amount of content he has, only a small sample size of video clips were provided with recycling characters.
I'll agree he's not 100% legit, but I'm still convinced a lot of it is real reactions.
I'm on the assumption that not only him, but all the pranksters on YouTube film for hours, and edit out only the best reactions for a 3-5 min video,
hence why the viewers get the best reactions every clip after clip. Not to mention, I highly doubt he hired a bunch of police actors with police vehicles.
In the end, some people threatened to unsubscribe feeling cheated, while it probably didn't bother others as much,
as the content was still entertaining to watch.
I'm not surprised with the successful YouTubers, now with the budget and also the pressure to keep quality content pumping out fast,
hiring script writers and outsourcing work is necessary.
It all starts with the love of film making as a hobby, and then at at some point, they get serious enough and form a team and it becomes a production.
