Paid for by caught thieves I hope.

I liked having one of those locks in my car because it could double as a defensive weapon (road ragers) or be used in an emergency - smashing a window or prying open a door.

Phil@rise 10-11-2013 09:56 AM

My jeep is the first vehicle I've ever owned in the top ten.

there's a difference between theft of auto and theft from auto. a club isn't going to stop a thief from breaking INTO your car.

murd0c 10-11-2013 12:03 PM

Perfect time for Princess Auto to have a sale on hacksaws

Acura Integra (1990-2001)

So close.

EliteResearcher 10-12-2013 01:50 PM

My vehicle didn't fall into any one of those categories....no free locks.

iKayChow 10-12-2013 08:17 PM

apparently some of the vancouver community policing centers have a limited stock too..

Cillu 10-13-2013 11:13 AM

Hooray, 2 locks for me!

EmperorIS 10-13-2013 11:15 AM

Yes! free lock.

Edison_Chen 10-13-2013 10:05 PM

Yay!! Only if it happened 3 months earlier......

Gridlock 10-14-2013 07:43 AM

Creating a brand new top 10!

You go Vancouver Police, wasting all your money like that.

It's like no one understands that things so rarely exist in bubbles.

2damaxmr2 10-14-2013 08:26 AM

Civic, corolla and caravan. That is like 80% of the vehicle in Vancouver. LOL

registrar 10-14-2013 01:53 PM

Free Steering Wheel locks

Vancouver residences ONLY ? So people who live in Surrey, Coquitlam and Burnaby are not eligible to get free steering wheel locks???

Gridlock 10-14-2013 03:18 PM

OMG! Just go buy one.

Fuck...you could afford the car. What are they? $29.95?

This shit is so ridiculous. The police in Vancouver are so over budgeted that they can give away shit like its the Price Is Right.

If you want a lock, buy a lock. If you have a crime, call the police. There is a division of labour here that people that should get it, aren't.

noventa 10-14-2013 10:20 PM

^
maybe they figure it's more efficient to just hand out some free locks rather than chase opportunistic car thieves down the street.
