what to eat around PNE Looking for places to eat around PNE. Any suggestions? I wasn't impressed with Bo Laksa King cause the Roti was a let down last time I went. Any place you have in mind that's decent around there? maybe red wagon cafe? thanks! |
Red Wagon is great and the Pork Belly sandwich is killer. |
Le do |
Taco fino Posted via RS Mobile |
Bao Chau. Love their spring rolls. Pho's only average though. |

Bao chau pho is shit. |
petit saigon is pretty good |
Try X-site, it's on the same block as Red Wagon and their food is pretty good. Plus, specials are like 5 bucks if you get a drink. |
Another +1 for Le do and Bao Chao. Bao Chau salad rolls :sweetjesus: Too bad Seri Malaysia closed down :( |
+1 for Bao Chau and James. Deep Fried Curry Crab :sweetjesus: |
i see some blasphemy in this thread how is bao chau pho shit? open for like 20+ years and still better than most |
Because people don't know any better. |
Bao chau is the best, that's where I met my bbg dukes at Posted via RS Mobile |
I still remember our first date. We touched swords. I mean chopsticks. |
Petite Saigon shits on Bao chau IMO but I'm white so what do I know :troll: But yea petite is my favorite pho place around and I've been eating pho everywhere for the last like 12-15 years Posted via RS Mobile |
Pho tam > all pho place. But it's in surrey :troll: |
1+ for bao chau. tentatsu is alright. seems like they serve you faster when the restaurant is packed compared to when its empty. food is better too when its packed.... naniamo sushi was really good too. |
Polonia Sausage House - 2434 Hastings |
Bao Chau is classic. |
I think Petite Saigon is better than Bao Chau. Their spring-rolls and pho are better imo. Bao Chau's rice dishes are fuckin bomb though. X-cite up where Safeway is has cheap grub. Love their Club Sandwiches. |
First time I went to bao chau, the noodles in my pho were hard as f. Second time I went, vermicelli in salad rolls were hard as f. Never again. :heckno: |

Having said that, I would pass on Le Pho, Le Do, Pho Don and Petite Saigon anyday for some Bao Chau Pho |

Le Petit Saigon is pretty good. Probably one of the cleaner Vietnamese places to go. I also like to goto Thai Hang for Vietnamese. I have always liked how they serve broken rice. I like to goto Jame's on Slocan and Hastings for late night Chinese. They are open until 2 am. For cheap take out sushi, Sushi Nanaimo is good value. I get take out from there for a quick fix. |
Thai Hang ftw Try their special duck vermicelli soup that's one of the first things on the menu :sweetjesus: Didn't know taco Fino was around there Def gotta hit them up they make killer fish tacos Posted via RS Mobile |
