Website compares a non smokers body vs smokers body

Great visual website showing the difference between the two;

Tobacco Body

'Crystal meth body' was the first reaction when I saw their faces

I always hated these deceptive anti-smoking advertisements...the photos comparisons are more like comparing a super healthy lifestyle person (e.g. clean diet and regular exercise) vs a drug addict...

I quit smoking 5+ years ago...i am sure my health has gotten better and my lung is cleaner, but my skin and my body didn't look any better after I quit...
And I sure as hell don't think smoking itself will make you look as awful as the website portrays...

I am so proud to have finally rid my life of this demon.

Congrats all!

I'm 155 days smoke-free!

I have intense cravings often still, but I haven't caved.

No, probably not day for day as portrayed on that site, but make them 65, and for hell yeah there is a difference.

rsx 10-23-2013 07:48 PM

It's tough watching tv shows like Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire or Asian gangster movies though, everyone's smoking. =S

Occasionally I'll get that craving for one.

I found the difference this time was definitely wanting to eliminate smoking from my life. There was no pining over the last one, or romanticizing the idea of smoking.

Now I watch people smoke and judge. It looks like absolute trash and it smells horrible.

Wish I had never started.

anyone else snap click genitalia lol

Congrats and good luck to those trying to quit.

Smoking is a selfish, filthy, disgusting addiction. I have no idea why people continue smoking when they know how harmful it is.

kwy 10-23-2013 09:11 PM

There doesn't seem to be any scientific basis for this site..it's just a dramatization. With that said, yes, everyone already knows smoking is harmful.

spoon.ek9 10-23-2013 09:20 PM

actually, when a couple of my friends went from smoking to using vape, the FIRST thing I noticed was a significant improvement in their skin tone.

AzNightmare 10-24-2013 12:41 AM

Congrats to all you guys in here that quit.
Keep it up.

Those vape sticks felt like they were putting water in my lungs after a couple months. Champix worked wonders for me a few years ago but after 1 year I started smoking when I drank and well, you know the rest. Since I'm not getting any younger I think I'll give it another try.

You can do it, dude! Never give up :)

I found having the Cessation Nation App (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...onnation&hl=en) to be a cool way of tracking my progress. Motivated me to keep going.

white rocket 10-24-2013 08:32 AM

Thanks dino :) I'm literally going to the doc right this second to grab Champix and try again. I feel inspired so I'm rolling with it.

The people that surprise me the most who smoke are gym fanatics and of course, doctors.
