Land is the issue. Solve that issue by converting them into houseboats.
How long until we see one of these sitting on a former landfill listed for $1Mil?

Great idea. Some one like Ikea needs to get involved so they can mass produce these and get the cost down even further. Great way to add an income property to an existing house. Could also be used as a hotel. Just plop a bunch of them in a forest.
What do you think one of these could rent for in Vancouver?

WTF is happening to RS - another quality post from asian_XL??
Seriously, my buddy lived for three years in a space in Whistler that was only slightly larger than this... was all the space he needed at the time. Drop this thing beside a rural lake or something and you've got some wicked views out the window when you wake up in the morning.
It's no different than that condo tower at the south end of Cambie that has no resident parking: sure, it's not for everyone, but for some people, it's an idea that could totally fit their lifestyle.

The washroom is a wet room. So the entire washroom is the shower room. This is typical of washrooms in India. When I was there, the shower head was right next to the sink/toilet. For me it was a weird/gross/dirty experience not being able to shower in an enclosed area because I felt the floor was dirty. I couldn't take a shower without slippers. It felt like I was showering in a public shower.
I was there for three weeks and never really got used to that idea. I'm not an OCD when it comes to cleanliness, but I just couldn't get used to that concept. I guess I need my shower to separate from everything else in the washroom.

no closet or laundry facilities (or put a washing machine outside on the deck like the do in some parts of asia?)... clothing optional i guess.

So it's like having a sink and toilet in a larger walk-in shower?
Sounds like the ultimate man washroom.
Shave in the shower, give the floor a rinse.
Take a poop while you shower.
It's a one-stop shop.

cool concept, but I personally would not be able to live there for longer than a week.
im not claustrophobic, but I need more space. a friend lives in a 500 something sqft place downtown and its a nice place and all...but I need walls, I cant stand being in a living room and being able to see the bedroom kitchen bathroom all at the same time.

With right design, this could be a lot better. | perfect for small asian-sized people, or maybe a dorm room. but for north americans that live off of mcdonalds who are actually using it as a living space as opposed to a study/sleep area... i'm not sure?

I too think it looks dope. Is it small as fuck, yes but it's a total viable option assuming you have a place to put it. $25k is pretty decent imo. Heck some girls spend just as much on a Hermes bag for crying out loud.

These are perfect for laneway house developments. As long as I had a seperate place to park and work on my car, I would rock it...
Also for the sex thing, just use her place... |

am i the only one thinking the population density is bad enough?!
i have a 600sq/ft basement and it is just enough for me and im pretty minimal, i get the point of this and it is cool and all.. but i hope this dosnt become the new norm.. people should strive higher than to live in a closet...
still a cool concept though
