I work at Sportchek and I'm more familiar with the a-fit Oakley ski/snowboard goggles. Main difference is that the nose area is narrower. There are literally tons of people that can't wear goggles that aren't an a-fit cause just too wide at the nose and falls down or there's air leakage around the goggle.
Like someone said above, they actually use the term "alternative fit" as well for a-fit.

Why is this offensive?
It's not like facial structures are some magical unicorn that has yet to be tamed, people from different parts of the planet have different features. What did you expect Oakley to call them, "glasses for people who live in Asian countries but not specifically targeting Asians because some people are too sensitive to identification"?
I'm white, Kim is asian, Jerome is black, what is the fucking big deal here?

The only reason to be outraged is if the asian fit oakleys don't have any lenses in them.

I personally bought a pair 6 years ago. I don't see a problem with it. My biggest problem was that I could only buy them online - and didn't have a chance to try them on - none of the local stores carried it.
I bought a pair of the Half Jackets - the regular ones would sit on my cheekbones - while the asian fit ones would sit much better on my nose.

these were originally designed for the JDM market.
The afit models have the same style number as the regular models but with a 'j' behind the style number indicating that its the Japanese market version.
As these became popular, they became an official Asian Fit line. But still has the j designation on the style number Posted via RS Mobile |

Its not a "line" of shades its a fitment. Theres nothing wrong with labeling them as "asian" when thats the target fitment. Asian facial structure is different from that of european. So labeling the fitment as such is fine. Now why dont people get up in arms over "skinny" jeans lol I dont fit in them so I must be fat waaaaa
