The only "computer" I own is an Android powered Asus Transformer Prime. It's worked great for browsing, torrents, videos, word, and excel. It's fit me as both a laptop replacement and a tablet, but I'm going to Japan and need a full Windows 8 laptop now. With Windows 8 I can create Powerpoints, use photoshop/lightroom, and root/support a Nexus 5 phone.
I'm looking at the full Windows 8.1 32bit (not Windows RT) powered Asus Transformer T100 for $399. It's a 10" tablet with keyboard dock. It has a Intel® Atom Z3740 1.33GHz Quad Core, 2GB ram, and 32GB of storage.

My concern is if the processor and ram can comfortably run Win8 and the programs I mentioned? Can Win8 and a suite of standard programs be installed with only 32GB of storage?
Would I get significantly greater value and performance by getting a traditional 13-15" style laptop?
