Kelowna's a ghost town. Come to Kamloops instead.

nope, since moving back from van I haven't been able to find a decent shop.

I emailed places. No prices or just no replies. Ugh. It will have to wait til I'm in vancouver then.

I googled a bunch and emailed. Dont' remember exactly.

On unrelated note, can anyone recommend some noob trails for off roading?

Brianrietta 11-28-2013 01:41 PM

Last trip up there for me I poked around a few places that I used to go to when I lived in Kelowna. I'd hesitate to recommend things blindly because access has changed dramatically over the years with development and claims on different places I used to go. You can always go out Myra Canyon and poke about on the FSR there though. Before you hit the parking lot for the trestles there is a route off to the left that sort of goes along the ridgeline for a ways (first pic) although there are little trails and offshoots everywhere up there. Decent views of the valley. By end of season the roads are pretty washboarded but you won't get away from that in the valley anywhere.

If you fancy a trip down into Lake Country and turn down onto Beaver Lake road it will take you out to a bunch of lakes. There are routes back there that will take you all the way to Vernon. This was from the first lake that you come across, Beaver Lake:
