Izuei Honten (Unagi Japan)

Just a FYI, this place raised their prices. The Prince meal is now 6300 jpy. Had to settle for 150g for 3675 jpy.

Was looking forward to that double layer for so long too.

yo, unagi is sick. It's all about being prepared for any kind of attack, at any time.
I was sitting on my couch and these two homeless guys fell through my front window while fighting over a crack rock .. anyways, needless to say I judo-chopped those motherfuckers right down their mid-line.

the price of unagi has been stedily increasing because japan is overfishing japanese eels so its actually considered an endangered species now. how much was the original price of the prince course? according to the site, you wanted to order the unagi gozen mini kaiseki but instead, you ordered the take unadon/unajyuu.

i've only ever eating the ume unajyuu there it was around 3000yen in 2009.

Izuei Honten ? Tokyo, Japan

SkinnyPupp and I went in 2008!

Wow, that's getting close to double their Y3675 price when I was there and had the Tonojyu meal.

I based the prices off Ronin and Pauls travel blog so the price was as Ronin just quoted.

Yup I used to go every time I would visit Japan, but I didn't go the last few times as the price was just too much

It's worth it to go at least once though, if you've never tried REALLY good unagi before
