i did one a couple of years after grad..
i tried to do it around a Full time job but it just got too crazy after a couple of months.
I dont see any problem in doing one if you can commit to it completely.

I'm planning on doing a stage at a michelin starred restaurant in europe after 10 years of culinary experience. Its never to late to make a sacrifice to learn IF its worth it in the long run.

What if you don't find a job? I kinda was in a similar situation. I didn't like the idea of internship or volunteer as I wanted a full-time paying job with the full benefits package. As time moved along, I couldn't land anything, in which I could have gotten experience related to my field through volunteer/intern and at the same time continue to search for the full-time paying job. I dragged it on for 6 months applying for jobs before taking on a volunteer role as I couldn't get a full-time paying job, in which that experience positively contributed to the success I have today at my current job. The experience helped me get the job

In the end, if you are a fresh graduate, you don't have anything to lose.

personally, if i found a job now til feb, i would keep the job. my reason, i'm fairly new at the job, the opportunities are still fresh and new and vast. unless i know the job is like a deadbeat horse with no growth or new exposure to experience, then i would hop onto the internship.

IMO it really depends on the internship position and the company. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions regarding resumes but many people agree that the company name you worked at is one of the first things an employer looks at to verify legitimacy. It is not necessarily the most important factor, but you always hear things like "x worked at [F500 company] for 10 years, or y was the manager of 30 direct reports at [large company name]". If I were in that situation, I would make my decision based on 1. the company and 2. the learning opportunities from the internship. If it was an international company or F500 company, I would definitely wait out the 2 months and go with the internship, but if it is a small company with very limited learning and growth opportunities, then I would pass on it.

A good internship can have very valuable resources in terms of learning opportunities and building your network. When I interned at my current company, an intern I worked closely with landed a pretty good position afterwards due to the fact that the employer was impressed by her experience working for a reputable company.
