Just wanted to give a heads up for anyone that doesn't have a designated driver/unable to get a ride.

Happy holidays!

We hope you’ve had a chance to relax and spend some time with family and friends, perhaps enjoy a cup of hot chocolate (or two).

As always, rides will be free of charge on New Year’s Eve (Dec 31) from 5:00 pm until 5:00 am on New Year’s Day. All services (Bus, SkyTrain, SeaBus, West Coast Express) on New Year’s Eve will operate a normal weekday schedule with additional trips or extended service.

New Year’s Day (Jan 1) will offer a normal Sunday/holiday schedule for Buses, SeaBus and SkyTrain. The West Coast Express and TrainBus will not be in operation.

Regular services resume on Thursday, January 2, 2014.

Details can be found on the Winter Holiday Service Schedule page. Please see below for some resources to request current updates in regards to transit service conditions:
Have a happy new year and get home safe!

Skytrain and Canada Line will be extended till ~2AM that night too.

SkyTrain will run usual weekday schedules with more frequent evening trains and will extend service by approximately one hour. The last Expo Line train to King George will leave Waterfront at 2:16 a.m.; the last Canada Line train leaves Waterfront at 2:05 a.m. (to YVR) and 2:15 a.m. (to Richmond-Brighouse).

RS Operation Rev Nose is also available, Cabs will most definitely be out in full force, and if all else fails call a loved one.

Please guys, DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

I'll be at a friends place downtown...whens the best time to start finding cabs to get home? Or is it just chaos trying to find a cab? Thanks

As long as you aren't trying to hail a cab right after the clock strikes 12 or around 2:30-4:00am, you should not have all that much trouble finding a cab at the regular spots they frequent. Or just give the company a call and they will send one your way pretty quick...
