Good place to get clutch replaced in Vancouver?

Hey guys, I bought an 2001 Integra LS as winter beater back in November. The previous owner put about 220k on the first clutch, so i thought it would be time for me to replace it.

Can anyone give me a good reliable shop that can replace the clutch for a reasonable price?

Thanks

Private is the way to go. You will save $ on the labour compared to dealership

What is their shop rate? I was going to recommend a particular shop but they just raised their rates

I'm not sure TBH. Tattoo artists and mechanics I never bother looking at hourly. Go for the one that you trust and like their work and you will always pay less in the long run. I'd guess around 100/hour give or take 10 bucks?

Shop rate at Monkey Nutz is 95/hour. Anywhere around there is pretty much middle of the road, not as expensive as the dealer, or as some high end shops like SR. But certainly costs more than shops like midas, budget, and mr. lube.

Truth is that shops like Monkey nutz, RG, TSS, are the way to go. Way too much shady stuff happens in some of those franchise shops like mr. lube and such.

That is not to say they are all bad, but the possibility is much higher than at reputable shops like the ones listed above.

I am working with Monkey Nutz right now to get my Rev-up tune done, and while we are still in the beginning they seem to be pretty good, and from what I have heard from others I think everything will go smoothly.

can never go wrong with speed syndicate

from my experience, dealers are anywhere from $120-150/hour, and private shops are usually $90-100

So you want to replace it, purely based on mileage?

If there are no symptoms of it being worn out, what's the point?

I'm going to have to assume with 220,000km the clutch is worn out...

Generally, clutches will only last as long as the driver's experience dictates and under certain conditions.

All I'm saying is, mileage alone shouldn't be the deciding factor. If it still grabs under load and doesn't chatter, I'd leave it til it shows actual signs of needing adjustment or replacement.

I've had an original clutch last 350k ...... and then there's evolove

Why do you need a clutch? Is it slipping like no tomorrow? If it's working, you probably won't be needing a new clutch.

However, I just did some estimate for you. I can get your clutch replaced at the place I work at. I am going to quote high for now but price may lower depending what really needs to be done.

To replace clutch, it is about $860 tax in. This includes labour & parts also bleeding the system. PM me for info, otherwise GL.

Sometimes when I'm taking off a little bit quicker than normal. I push on gas and let my foot off the clutch, the car would rev up before it starts moving.

And when I put my foot on gas to accelerate to pass, the car is really revving up but the speed usually catches pretty slow.
