A lot of people left last year, those positions have not been filled and are slowly being filled.

In the mean time the city is hiring a lot of auxiliaries which is what you see, as well as the full time positions being posted one by one. Good time to hop on board a lot of upward movement.

Might get a ticket.. I stopped like this in downtown, and left when I saw the by-law car, they never turned on their lights or anything.. Few weeks later, received a 50 dollar ticket or something like that.

I remember we received 6 no stopping tickets in the mail at the same time from the City of Richmond quite a few years back, 5 of which were past the discount period. Apparently they turned a popular drop off zone for my high school to a no stopping zone, and had someone camp in the bushes writing down plate numbers of everyone who stopped there. My dad tried fighting it with the City of Richmond, but they wouldn't even listen to his case. They sent it to collections a year later, and they started calling us everyday. We blocked their number, and it's been 6 years and we still haven't paid it. Lol...

I thought government issued are more serious and if you dont pay they can fuck with your credit or even not allow you to renew your license etc.

yeah your credit will likely be affected

i thought of many times to try and argue city issued tickets but in the end it'll just a huge hassle and so I just pay up and not pull the same infractions again. All the parking infractions usually ends up costing more than it takes to pay for parking on a regular basis lol

Ya, but you may be subject to tow if they find you in violation again.

Transit Police officers have the same authorities and powers as other police officers while on and off duty.

They are sworn in as designated provincial constables, with full police powers throughout the province.

They focus their efforts primarily on protecting the safety and security of passengers, employees, property, and revenue of Metro Vancouver's transit system.

They are "Fair Evasion Specialists"
