I've used my Canadian Costco membership in the USA countless times, so I see no reason why an American membership wouldn't work up here.

Edit: Costco membership is valid worldwide.

Referral ID from the link removed. Try that again and you'll be removed from Revscene.

I've renewed my membership in the US before because it's actually cheaper since you dont pay tax on it.

here's how you actually get a free costco membership. buy gift cards.

walk in and use it. done. no fees no membership. and you aren't limited to how much is on the gift card.

/executive member who buys gift cards for cheap ass family members.

I'd think the worst case scenario would require you to just drive to the Costco in Bellingham and activate your membership there.

I'm not sure if there's a limit to pay the difference by cash or if the cashier was being a bitch but she told me the most I can pay is $20 more than what I had on the gift card

no idea, always get'm at costco. my family has never had any issues with buying $200 worth of stuff with a $50 gift card. obv pay the difference.

maybe they are cracking down on it? but it's not like it's a sunk cost. get a bigger gift card if needed. it's not like you won't spend it.

Also, minimum gift card is $25. So you could get a friend with a membership to get you 10 cards each with $25 and you never have to get a membership.

In the Richmond Costco it is a fucking epidemic. It's a huge problem that slows down our line ups and makes paying members wait longer.

Funny enough, in all of western Canada, it's only the Richmond warehouse that has this issue.... I wonder why....
