Illegal to Remove Rear Seats? Long story short, found a new (old) project car. It's small. I'm 6'2 and my GF is 5'5.. nobody fits in the rear seats. I'd keep them, but there quite a few odd white stains and odors on them. Is it illegal in any way to simply remove them? As they no longer make OEM rear seats for my model of car, and it's really gross to be looking at the snail trails every time I get into the car. Plus the metal support for those rear seats are pretty badly rusted and I don't want it to "infect" the rest of the clean car. Please advise. |
Not illegal to remove. Because race car. Posted via RS Mobile |
you can remove seats legally yes but if you have seats you must have the seat belts even if no ones sits there |
How about just cleaning the seats or installing seat covers? As far as the rust goes..3 words...wire brush & Tremclad. There is no requirement for rear seats unless you plan on having passengers there. |
