definitely had an anti-climatic feel to the game but who cares? GOLD
2010 was for sure a better experience for a lot of us, can't disagree there.

We were really spoiled in 2010.
I remember checking the Nike force fate ad's everyday and loved the one on the very last day after the men's team won gold. |

GOLDDDDDDDDDDDD!
It would've been more competitive if they weren't missing Zets/Hank and Backstrom but than we might've walked away with Silver instead of Gold
Even if we won in OT like in 2010, I still don't think this or anything can be compared to the 2010 Olympics. Everything fell into place and I don't think anything will even come close to it. Quote:

Good on Crosby and Kunitz for coming up big in the gold medal game. To all the critics that said that Sid wasn't doing enough in the Olympics and Kunitz not worthy of being on the team, shut the hell up.
Big game players play their best when everything is on the line. Sid scores on the breakaway and Kunitz shoots a laser at Lundqvist after a Swedish turnover in the neutral zone.

I doubt Sweden wins that game if both teams have all their players at 100%.

+1
2010 was more epic personally because my force fate ad was shown up on the big screen and supposedly there is a picture of it at Langara at some olympic archive.

Justin Bieber is not amused by ‘Loser keeps Bieber’ wager
Justin Bieber, teen idol and amateur car racer, is beloved by many and the cause of annoyance for many, many more. The Canadian native has called the United States home for the last few years, but Americans have looked to return him to his native land, with over 250,000 signing a White House petition asking for his deportation.
The White House has refused to act on Bieber’s deportation, forcing Americans to try increasingly desperate measures to urge him back north of the border.
Before the Team USA-Canada semifinal hockey game a large billboard in Chicago decided to place a wager. The billboard featured Chicago Blackhawks stars Patrick Kane (playing for the U.S. ) and Jonathan Toews (representing Canada) with the words “Loser keeps Bieber” sprawling across the bottom
Well, after the U.S.’s devastating loss to Canada, it looked like Bieber was going to stay put.
Unfortunately, Bieber did not find the bet funny, and he took to Twitter to broadcast his grievances. https://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/olymp...003140833.html |
