tire shop scratched my rim putting on tires, but i realized it way later

I noticed a huge scratch on my wheel that wasn't there before I got new tires at this tire place. The problem is I didn't notice it till now and I replaced the tires in Dec. It looks like a scratch from the tire machine when they try to put the tire on. Is there anything I can do now or am I out of luck?

edit: the reason I didn't notice till now is because I went on vacation from Jan till now after I got new tires.

and here is a photo, it's pretty clear that it's not a curb rash:

If you didn't realize that your wheel had a huge scratch in 3 whole months then who is going to believe you didnt curb it yourself and didn't realize it? Or curbed it, did realize it, and thought you could get them to pay for it? Either way, no chance.

3 months a long time dude, youre SOL.

Dont even bother going to them and trying to get something out of it, you will make it worse for people who inspect their wheels same day and try to fight it out with the shop. I dont doubt that they could have caused it, but its gotta be the same day you received it.

Are there places that can do wheel refinishing and get rid of these scratches/curb rashes? How much do they usually charge?

Lots of places refinish. There are cheaper mobile services that are probably around $125/wheel and the best way to do it is somebody like Panther or Green's who will be closer to $200/wheel.

Yep, you're SOL. Sorry dude.

Consider this lesson learned. Next time you have any work done on your vehicle, ALWAYS inspect your car BEFORE leaving their lot.
