Reservation Mode for Compustar PRO 2-WAY 901

Putting a car into reservation mode for the new system isn't quite the same as the old one.

for my old one (before drone came around), no matter now fast or slow i go through the entire process, it'll go into reservation mode.

for the new system, it goes into reservation mode when I'm not trying and doesn't when i try. I try to do the process fast or slow, but I still can't figure it out. What's happening is that when the last door closes, the car doesn't turn off and arm. It just runs for a couple mins, turns off, and remains disarmed.

break it down for me into simple steps and how many seconds i gotta wait between steps, cuz I'm starting to get frustrated with this "new and improved" unit.

for me all I have to do is when I park (assuming manual) leave it in neutral pull the e-brake and leave, as long as the last person to close the door is driver's side it's done.

That being said my compustar was installed at SoundsGood Burnaby and I know they did it right. My friend got his installed by a Big Box store and it never seems to work.....

SSM_DC5 it's been a while since I've installed any but I'd say what you're experiencing is a programmable option.

Have your installer walk through the options.

I forget, you have the 901??

majority of the time, I have been trying with the driver's door as the last door.

are you thinking that i might be the turbo timer option? cuz I was told that's off. I dunno if this info helps, but when the reservation mode works, the car will shut off after 4-5 secs of closing the door.

Another weird observation.
was having same problem. parked the car, stayed in sitting in the car. tried to put into reservation mode -> unsuccessful. forced shut down by putting foot on the brake.
started up the car, tried to put into reservation mode without actually moving the car and without thinking about waiting...just going through the motions. front passenger door was last closed ---> successful.
drove around, tried to put it into reservation mode and took out the key as soon as i heard the relay click after letting off the brake. opened some doors, but front passenger was last ----> successful.

It all has to do with the fact that your car is data and your 'brain' is not communicating with the module effectively. We can re-flash the module or do what I did (Because I have the same car...lol) and just replace the alarm brain. Both solutions are covered 100% under warranty.

The craziness continues.

drove around tonight. made 3 stops. all 3 stops was successful. I'm starting to wonder if it has anything do with consistently going into reservation mode when i leave the car.

I'm gonna use the brake to stop the reservation mode from happening to break the streak and see if it goes back to having a hard time going into reservation mode again. I'll report back.
