Anybody here own an LS430?

Looking for impressions from owners. A nice one popped up here in Winnipeg, of all places, and I'm done with BMW for now. Wondering if the Lexus reliability applies or if it's a money pit.

Thanks!

Money pit it is not.

Reliability is top notch.

Lexus reliability applies.
I'd comment on the gas consumption, but I'm sure you're aware of all that fun stuff, especially coming from a 740il.

those 4.3L 3UZFE V8 are bullet proof... the bad is so little steering feel compared to a BMW... here is the list from clublexus that owners found over the years... LS430 Typical problems and associated costs - Club Lexus Forums

Here's a short list. LS430 Typical problems and associated costs - Club Lexus Forums
There are a bunch of useful threads on ClubLexus. I've been looking into LS430's and 97-00 400's as well.

I was checking out some LS430 in town before I bought my S-class.
Most owners believe Lexus is maintenance free, so they don't bring their cars to service until something goes wrong and warning lights everywhere. Many have steering rack and wheel wobble issue, owners prefer to sell the car instead of fixing it them.

Also, watch out those newer LS430 that have leaky air suspension, they are costly to get replaced.

Thanks! I was like reading through that list. I was expecting something like "catastrophic timing belt failure at 100k miles' or something like that. Instead I see folding mirror issues.

Gonna start looking for one of these!

I absolutely love the LS model line. And I'm not a "VIP" guy at all, not in the slightest. Insanely reliable, great timeless styling, fully luxury appointed, etc.

Lexus = the lowest recall rate of all manufacturers.
