Collector's insurance isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Trust me, there's going to be the odd time where you'll wake up on a beautiful sunny summer morning and say "fuck it, I'm taking the beast to work" and then you'll drive to work with the biggest shit eating grin and be in the best mood all day.

With collector plates, you can't. Not even once.

And this is why I won't get collector's plates. Unlike the previous owner, I prefer to actually enjoy and drive the vehicle all the time!
No garage queen here.

Yougottabekidding. You've got to be kidding. Thanks for the automotive knowledge lesson. I took apart the drum/e brake on my 1971 3 days ago. I said it operates the same drum. The cable actuates the drum, rather then the brake fluid. It's still using the same drum. If you've overheated your brakes on the street, your doing it wrong.

I think O_D is right, if it was an option available for that model year you can add that option.

I really doubt that ICBC is going to know the difference between a C Code and A code (or J Code) Mustang, nor do I think would they check. Just keep the stock air cleaner on it when you take your engine bay pictures...

Good to hear! I prefer seeing cool cars with real plates, since that means they actually get used.
