Innocent pedestrian attacked by police, framed with charges, imprisoned for 15 months
Quote:
DALLAS, TX — An innocent pedestrian was attacked by police, beaten up on camera, framed with 2 felonies, and then sat in jail for 15 months.
He was finally exonerated when the dash-cam video showed that everything the police had claimed was a lie. That officer blatantly attempted to ruin a man’s life but was never charged with a crime.
Slavery used to be much easier 100 years ago, these days they have to watch out for cameras and put people in court proceedings to herd them into the prison industrial complex.

They don’t have to worry about strikes or paying unemployment insurance, vacations or comp time. All of their workers are full-time, and never arrive late or are absent because of family problems; moreover, if they don’t like the pay of 25 cents an hour and refuse to work, they are locked up in isolation cells.
There are approximately 2 million inmates in state, federal and private prisons throughout the country.
....in privately-run prisons, they receive as little as 17 cents per hour for a maximum of six hours a day, the equivalent of $20 per month.
From 2009...really? If you're going to post conspiracy theorist bullshit, using conspiracy theorist sources at least make it relevant. Also love the fact you left out the major details from the article you cited, which gives the guy who got attacked a settlement anyways.
One incident like this, from the states, doesn't make North America as a whole a police state.
TLDR: Dude that did get beat up got 1.1 million in a settlement because the cop did wrong him, settlement happened end of March.
Edit: also imprisoned 15 months. I clearly missed that and that's my fault and I own up to that.

One other thing to add is I wonder what sentencing anyone chocking and kicking an officer in the scrotum would get... plus the fact that they planted drugs on him... we may be looking at 5-10 years!
Imagine how many people are locked up like this.

sure it happened in 2009 but the issue just ended and the news was just released... plus it states in the video that he got a $1.1mn settlement
and he didnt get a million just for being beat-up he was also in prison for over a year...wtf is wrong with you? you just totally dismissed the issue and jumped down CiC's throat for no reason

i obviously missed the prison part and probably should have edited my post. my fault for missing a big part of the issue and i apologize for that.
for me, its a matter of reputation with him and the sources he keeps using. yes, i understand this is a ridiculous thing to happen, but a source like "policestateusa" really? He jumps down people's throats for no reason, dismisses arguments and that's okay for him? He does this with every post and conveniently left out that he got a settlement to make the post seem worse. Not saying that the settlement is a happy ending, but it's defintely a vital piece of information. But he leaves it for clickbait instead of easily quoting it in the post. What's the argument in this? That police wrongfully accuse and imprison people?
It happens almost everyday, and in some instances, much worse than this even with no settlement. I'm not saying this makes the entire situation better, but at least he got something when others get zilch. Yes he also lost 15 months of freedom, and of course that's shitty. Yeah I sound like a jackass who comes off as saying "15 months no big deal" but you can't really make up tone on the internet. To lose 15 months of your life sucks and I could never imagine that.
Rubin Carter died today, but why isn't he posting about him? He got 20 years for a crime he didn't commit.

@StylinRed
Some of that 1mil settlement money will probably be taken by this lawyer... and when you factor in inflation, a million today isnt that much money. Had he not pursued this case and no camera to record the incident he wouldve served a long time in prison for this.
In this modern day of age people get a million dollar for spilling McDonalds coffee on their own lap and it being too hot!

As someone that keeps calling others ignorant, that is a pretty bold sarcastic statement.
What you're referring to is the case of Liebeck v. McDonald's Restaurants
