He previously visited Vancouver in March 2013 and during that stay made Canada’s most expensive real estate deal. His family’s property at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel covers 15,000 square feet over the building’s top three floors, encompassing the penthouse plus three sub-penthouse units to create one massive luxurious penthouse unit with unparalleled views of the inlet and mountains.
I don't know if it's a publicity thing, but to me it's kinda cool that he's getting out and doing real Vancouver stuff, like hitting the mountains and what not. Seems like he's taking a lot of photos of different places himself too. Rather then hitting the clubs throwin' money round.

Whenever you hear of some richer-than-rich person being in any town, I always picture them being covered in gold and other rare jewels, protected by a gang of twenty bodyguards, and staying hidden away inside a fully blacked out, armoured SUV. As jegresh said, even if it's simply a publicity stunt, it's nice to see that even the ultra rich can be just like you and me and enjoy the same outdoor activities as us. If I ran into him on the street, I wouldn't know him from anyone else (likely due to the subdued nature of his clothes), and I kinda like that.
i agree though seems cool that he's doing all the nature stuff in those pics
He should be throwing that money to:
- The Indian slave male carpenters who built the city
- The Various ethnic female housekeepers who get beat to shit
- The various child jockeys who are sexually abused.
On the surface, it sounds like all the above ^ would get paid livable wages due to wealthy clientele but that simply isn't the case
The fact this comes from Van City Buzz is really no surprise
My company's owner Dennis Washington is also worth about 4 Billion and has a few places in Vancouver but many people don't know who he is because he's pretty low key.

This guy was just born into the elite. He doesn't have to do anything except make people aware of who he is.
And what better place for a rich person to visit than Vancouver where everyone, including the rich, strive to be rich as if nothing else in life is important.

yeah and maybe he's not the crown prince of Dubai as well

He might have good taste.. or he might have just been buying all of the most rare/expensive cars he could… I would be more impressed if he had cars like an F1 and a '55 300SL Alloy Gullwing

Maybe his friends and acquaintances will notice and come as well and bring their cars like London. But then they'll all leave cause the nightlife can't even compare.
