what's the total savings to a tank? $5?

not really anything to get excited about

ImportPsycho 05-05-2014 10:37 AM

it's about 20cents per litter difference for ppl who pump premium gas.

i dont expect ppl from Vancouver to drive to richmond for that, but ppl in RMD... I see line ups all the time at 2-3cents lower gas station.
hell, i know some people who only use Superstore gas so they can save 7cents

I totally agree with you.
Ppl need to think about the value of their time, a couple of cents is $1 or $2 for a tank. Line up and idle for 5 mins values ur time at less than $12 to $24 (as ur wasting gas idling)

In Europe I pay €1.70 for premium, at $1.50 per €, well... It makes you buy efficient turbos not big v8's.

I actually spend less on fuel in Europe as I drive a twice as efficient car... High fuel prices are a good thing, in an ironic way, as it makes people not waste fuel through driving cars with power they don't need

is it still the same price right now..

I filled up at this Shell yesterday with no idea that there was a discount. Saving $10 was a pleasant surprise.

murd0c 05-05-2014 02:32 PM

It's not an actual discount, they just do that when they run out of regular gas instead of closing the station. That being said Shell has a alliance with Chevron so when the Shell rack is down they get the fuel from the Chevron rack and just add the additives by hand to give it the v-power.
