Maintenance/Cleanup runs

Following on Phil's post in the camping thread about cleaning up after yourself... if you feel so inclined to help cleanup after others in order to help keep the back country open and accessible, consider joining some of these runs.

The big one coming up: West Stave Cleanup: https://www.facebook.com/events/218740944987299/

"Last year we hauled out over 70,000 pounds of Garbage between both sides - can we beat that total this year!"

Also upcoming:
Hale Maintenance Run this weekend: https://www.facebook.com/events/1433176723603888/?ref=4

Kenyon Maintenance Run next weekend: https://www.facebook.com/events/521959554575822/?ref=4

These are really fun events and you get to meet some other great wheelers with all sorts of amazing rigs.

Hale might not be so friendly to those attempting it in a CUV...

other than that, i support this post

First time I did Hale, a stock Liberty was with us, and made it up allergy. Short route should be easy for anyone with any form of traction control.

Not just giving back... general garbage build-up is a big part of what gets backroads shut down, gated, or deactivated. There's a small bit of motivated self-interest involved in showing the powers that be, that the majority of off-roaders are responsible and care about the environment.

Neat thing about these 4WDABC events too, is that you meet a lot of people who aren't in your usual brand-specific clubs, and get to see some really cool rigs. My first maintenance run there was a guy wheeling a built-up Lexus with the entire bottom half of the body Rhino-lined, and another with a nearly-unstoppable BJ42. Awesome machines!

Soundy, I apologize if it's something wrong on my end but none of those links are working for me. They just ring me to my current events page and I don't see any of the ones you've posted about.
