Korean Cold Spicy Noodles

Where are the best in Van?

Jang Mo Jib and Cho Sun doesn't cut it. I'm talking about a restaurant that specializes it.

I've had an awesome one in Aldergrove/Langley years ago, but I don't remember the name, nor will I drive all the way out there for it.

also.. the one at h-mart foodcourt (the one inside aberdeen) is pretty decent.

Depends what you're cooking though, some can be quite complex. If you want a full-blown authentic Korean meal at home, the sides dishes alone require at least 8 dishes, with some requiring days/weeks to prep.

Is Won Jo still around? That place (on North Road) was excellent for Korean noodles. Granted I haven't been back in years but it was awesome

radioman 05-26-2014 09:10 PM

^Yes its still around. It's the only Korean place I eat at in Coquitlam.

Sadly I think they've reduced the serving size and removed the octopus they have on one of their BBQ dish's I would always order :okay:

Yeah not interested in a full blown authentic meal... Just the good stuff :)

Anyone figure out what this is called so I can google it?

Non soup based.

Hmm, I was hoping for something a bit more substantial... a bowl of starch with some cucumbers and carrots is pretty low on the nutrition scale :okay:

Korean food is usually much better than this, with lots of beef and pork

Guess you could throw in some seafood and stuff

So any updates?

radioman 06-17-2014 06:49 PM

I ate at sura on Robson on the weekend and they have both versions on special. I'll update with a pic of the menu when I get home.
