112 km/h in a 50 km/h zone I was pulled over today for excessive speeding (112km/h in a 50km/h zone). I received a $370 ticket and my vehicle is impounded for 7 days. Since I still have an "N", I was told that my license may get suspended. I'm just wondering for how long will my license be suspended? P.S - I know that I'm an idiot, no need to mention. |
3-4 months. GG brah. I just got one today too. entering the free way too fast. cop gave me a break doe. no points on mine, but still kinda shitty. |
well, there goes my summer :( |
why did you need to go 112.. |
Its not a questions of if you will get suspended, you will be suspended for atleast 3 Months, then you next infraction is 6 months. I'm curious, Do you think you're qualified to drive fast?? Do you think you have the ability to control your car when you loose control? The only reason I ask is because you're on your N and speeding in a 50zone pretty much says you driving fast in the city.. Why? I hear bicycles are nice for the summer, bike lanes everywhere. |
Most people make shitty mistakes when they first get their hands on the wheel. OP is lucky his mistake only cost him financially (ie. no one got hurt including himself) Prepare to surrender your licence within the month. |
lol, your not an idiot for going that fast. Your one for getting caught! ha |
If you are close to getting your class 5 (in a year or so) I would suggest you to dispute it so you don't have to wait a few more years to take class 5. Being suspended will cause you to restart your N cycle. Learn from your mistakes this time and don't be stupid. |
where/how do you go 112 in a 50 zone??? :fulloffuck: |

Chicks don't dig suckers with a bus pass. Just saying. Smarten up and take this as a lesson.. If you want to drive fast, hit the track or AutoX. Its freakin cheap. $50 for a day of Autox and $200 for a day @ the track.. |
Where did this happen? |
OP probably driving his "dad's" Ferrari :troll: |
Don't even think about winning the dispute lol. The only point Is to game the system so you can get your class 5. If I were you I wouldn't even show up on the court date to save the embarrassment. |
wat car |
even with your class five you can loose your license for three months for driving like that |
You don't deserve your license driving like that, I'm happy you were caught and now have to pay the price. I hope your dad beats you with a belt.. |
As someone who went through the same thing when I had my N... you will pay the fine, get suspended for 3-4 months, AND pay the "driver penalty premium" from ICBC. Which for me, was $320 a year for 3 years. Don't forget, you will have to restart your "N" stage. I just paid my last DPP payment the other day. ...needless to say, paying what added up to half a year of university tuition has dissuaded me from driving like an idiot for likely the rest of my life. It's just a lot easier to A) leave 5 minutes earlier if I don't want to be late and B) buy a track car and keep it off the streets. And for all the people bashing OP, don't tell me you NEVER "ripped it" on a public road. Illegal? Yes. Dangerous? Very. Stupid? Absolutely. But I'm sure after all is said and done, this will be OP's last time speeding like a jerkoff. Let him be, he's young and everyone makes stupid mistakes. I can almost guarantee that the 4 months of having to endure the agony to bus everywhere will be a HUGE HUGE HUGE motivator for you to always drive like a grandma when you get back your license. I know it did for me. |
i still remember that fresh N phase all the grade 11's be driving like they are in the Grand Prix...thinking back I regret going into many friends cars...if I knew they drove like idiots I wouldn't have hopped in I admit I often broke the passenger limit but I drove like a grandma to avoid getting pulled over |
