It's been long enough that if you still act like an "undeveloped species", there is something wrong with your brain. And that's what I keep saying I think happened to this kid.

So you think that the only way a person can act with extreme violence, or possess extreme narcissism, or extreme depression is to have a defect of the brain?

It's like you totally don't accept at all that a person could be of sound mind and choose to commit an act of extreme violence. It's funny when you argue that it's mental health is not an excuse to this incident when in effect that's exactly what you're doing.

No, I'm saying that in this case that's what I think happened. Other people brought up other killers, as part of trying to build a strawman argument against my assumption.

Also I could be wrong, I am fully willing to admit that. But nobody has given me compelling evidence to suggest otherwise. However I don't know for sure, so I am not arguing too vehemently.

What I will argue against is the idea that when you desire something, it's automatically objectified. If you think like that, then you are as sick in the head as I think this guy was, sorry.

No, as someone mentioned, there are cases where people are just plain evil. They know what they are doing is wrong, but do it anyway. That is even more fucked up, so there you go

Well duh!
Are soldiers who kill mentally ill?

Are women who participate in Facial Abuse mentally ill? How about the viewers? Some of that stuff looks pretty brutal. Same with the fake-gangbang rape stuff Kink makes. Google "Christian girl gang rape Kink dot com" and tell me that isn't pretty brutal and sadistic.

Besides, what you were arguing about was:

What I will argue against is the idea that when you desire something, it's automatically objectified.

Hmmm. That's a deeper philosophical debate, but I'm pretty certain when I see a cool car or a hot chick I immediately do objectify them before getting to know more about them. Maybe we do objectify everything before we mentally digest what they mean to us personally and how they relate to those around us. Could very well be that some people are unable to differentiate healthy objectification from unhealthy.

Ever had your prostate examined? When you do it, it's like "Oh shit I'm going to the doc to get my ass probed, hope I don't have cancer!" It is total healthy objectification of the doctor. It's not personal. It's not like David Chu is sticking his finger in your ass, it's just The Doctor.

Porn is a great example of objectification that can turn unhealthy. Men can objectify porn sluts allllllll day long to get off, but if they take the objectification mindset they develop on the computer beating off to real life, they can turn into huge assholes who treat regular women like objects. It's something I think we're going to see much, much more of. When women speak of "rape culture" they're really speaking of objectification spill-over into the real world, IMO.

You're arguing against my post pre-edit

Like I said, how you think and how you act are two different things. It's what makes us human.
