| Flashing Note 2 for use with Mobilicity/Wind?
Hi,
I have an N7100 that I want to use with mobilicity (I've only used it with T-mobile, Chatr, and Rogers). Has anyone had their phone flashed/rooted so it will work with mobilicity?
If you know a place in Vancouver that does it, please let me know. I've tried calling a few places advertised on Craigslist, but they seem like flakes (answer one text about price, ignore text about appointments ???)
Thanks in advance

I don't think the N7100 model has the correct frequencies to connect to wind/mobilicity. You will need the I317m or T889 model.

I guess I'll take the plunge and let you guys know if it works.
Thanks for the input

Was about to head out to get it done, then found someone's blog who was asking the same thing. Turns out the N7100 doesn't have the 1700 band that mobilicty and wind use. Only Note 2's from Canada or the States will work.
Thanks for the head's up!

If it has worked successfully on T-Mobile US, I see no reason why it wouldn't have worked on Wind/Moblicity. I'm on T-Mobile and it operates with AWS bands and I only pick up Wind/Moblicity phones when I'm back in Canada.
I'm not saying your model will work; I'm just pointing out that it may not have been fully functioning under T-Mobile; because if it was...you wouldn't have problems using it on Wind/Moblicity.

T-mobile operates on the exact same frequencies, so I guess that's why it worked.
Mobilicity and Wind use 1700 and 2100.
I should also mention that it did work with Chatr here which uses 850 and 1900 mhz frequencies.

T-Mobile uses the GSM 1900 / UMTS 1900 / UMTS 1700/2100 (AWS) frequency bands for its network. Diddo with Moblicity and Wind. Your N7100 lacks 1700 Mhz...
