Battlefield: Hardline

So this looks really cool. From the screenshots and videos it looks like Battlefield X Need for Speed Most Wanted.

Quote:
Battlefield: Hardline features a whole new variety of gameplay that breaks away from the traditional Battlefield game modes. The new game modes are Heist Mode, Rescue Mode, Hotwire Mode and Bloodmoney Mode. The focus of the game has been shifted to police rather than the millitary background that has spanned the whole series up to now. Players will have access to various millitary grade weapons and vehicles as well as having police equipment such as tasers and handcuffs.
From Engadget:

Quote:
Player-controlled helicopters can swoop in to take out the robbers, cranes knock down building facades, and players can drop off of bridges and onto the back of a teammate's speeding motorcycle.
Beta launches today on PC and PlayStation 4.

Got the pc beta, spend a few hours on it.
Great fun.
Hopefully we get to try other mode or map.
Need some balancing work and some tweaks!

Personally I don't think is worth to call this a new game.
Maybe a $30~40 large expansion to BF3/4.
but then, people do still drop money on every COD game.

Just signed up for the beta a few minutes ago...don't think I'll get in from the gameplay I've seen it seems like its just BF4 in an urban cops vs robbers type environment

looks like CTF but with cops n robbers, while fun i can't stand playing a lot of CTF

for me this would be a great expansion for battlefield 4, not a full priced game

plays like a cheap bf4 mod. is there even destruction in this game? kinda disappointing since i'm used to blowing throw rooms with campers.

I played a couple rounds of Heist and Conquest. The game doesn't feel like a battlefield type of game. Almost a bit too COD like.

fast pace, pretty fun imo. beta goes until feb 8th though. unfortunately its not worth the $69.99 price tag.

completely different from the alpha/beta they released during e3.. compared to bf4, its night and day

been playing heist mostly.. its like Payday turn up a notch

u cant spam drop ammo and health packs to collect tons of points.

cant find the bf4 thread so might as well post this here

be awesome if they do night versions for all maps

This might be the only BF game i'm skipping. Holyshit to think they can charge us 70 for this pos. Gun feel weak. Feel like im playing payday on ps3. Destruction is also very minimal.

i don't really consider this a battlefield game, it just seems like they threw the name battlefield on it to try and get some sales

bf4 is still fun

So anyone end up picking this up?

playing it on ps4 and it looks a first gen ps3 game.. but then even on pc, this game isnt all that

im digging crosshair and rescue mode

kinda reminisce of the old rainbow six games.. specifically Vegas

surprsingly online servers work with no problems..

if people was shelling out $60\70 for same COD games every year, i guess i can justify paying full price for this

Have it on PC, it's pretty fun. Feels like BF, but is different as well. I bought it using a Mexican proxy off Origin, so it only cost $39.
