Question about CarProof location

Hi, I am looking at purchasing a used car but I have a question about one of the details on the CarProof report.

The car is a US import, brought into BC, Canada in early 2009 with 56,750 km. 3 months later, it shows an accident with the location 'Mississauga, Ontario, Canada' and odometer of 58,500 km. Besides this one line, it seems like the car has lived in BC its whole life (only shows registered in BC)

Quote:
06/02/2009 Canada Auto Auction Odometer Reading REPORTED AT AUTO AUCTION 56763 KM
06/06/2009 SURREY, British Columbia, Canada Motor Vehicle Dept. Canadian Renewal CANADIAN RENEWAL
06/27/2009 VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada Motor Vehicle Dept. Canadian Renewal CANADIAN RENEWAL
09/01/2009 Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Insurance Records Estimate LEFT REAR SIDE 58495 KM
06/26/2010 VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada Motor Vehicle Dept. Canadian Renewal CANADIAN RENEWAL
Any idea why the location of the accident is across the country? Would it be related to private/3rd party comprehensive insurance?

Just cause the insurance was registered in BC /paid to ICBC, doesn't mean the vehicle lived in BC during this whole time. It could even been up in Nunavut for 11 months of the year.

I thought of a road trip but based on the odometer readings it ddoesn't make sense... The driving distance between the 2 cities is greater than 1750 km (difference between the odo at accident and when it was first imported).

The seller claims it is because the previous seller had insurance w 3rd party/private which caused the location to show up as Ontario.

Thoughts?
