I wonder if Burrs is still going to play in this series (not tonight). Probably possible to play with broken rib, but he won't last too many shifts. Also having this disclosed to the public would be a concern if he does play - probably too much disclosure for Willie's liking

i think Hank tried to play with broken ribs before too...it doesn't end well for the player or the team.
sucks that he's gone but that just means somebody has to step up.
If Canucks can't manage without him then they deserve to lose anyway.

Wow, I'm surprised they disclosed the exact nature of Burrows' injury, especially at this time of year. The media basically painted a bullseye on his ribs should he come back at any point during this year's playoffs.

I'm one of the few people who actually likes Vey / thinks he will turn out to be decent one day if he adds some size.................. but this is a dumb move if he's coming into this type of series.

He did put up 25 pts in 15 playoff games for the tigers in 2011
but srs, coming back to Van 3-1 sucks. The Flames have all the momentum now and we lost a game changer in Burrows.
