I went to get my neck tattoo today but the parlor said that a neck tattoo is "too extreme" for a first tattoo and won't do it?!?!

Go to another shop and plead with them how bad you want it and pay them extra if needed. Make sure you take lots of pics and report back ASAP

Drink lots of alcohol before you go in (this is where having a high tolerance helps!!). It'll ease you right up and keep you relaxed during the process.

Tattoo shops are just trying to save you from yourself. Most shops will deem the neck and hands to be too extreme for a first tattoo as it is quite hard to hide or cover up with clothing. It is not uncommon to be turned down as you were.

holy crap $50 for my own kit??? I tell ya what I will buy it and give you a great idea on a neck tattoo... I'm normally a shaky person but calm down after a couple drinks, lets do this and we can post a video on RS!!

There are plenty of tattooers working from their kitchens in Surrey who will do it for you
