Forum For Mechanics/Tools

There are several forums for used car parts, but nothing for tools, equipment and related parts. The existing forums have strict rules about what can be posted, leaving all other automotive stuff to be listed in the "USED Miscellaneous Goods ONLY" forum, where they would get lost in the myriad of stuff posted there.

So perhaps a forum for Tools/Equipment or even just a Misc Automotive forum.

Better yet, if there was a Tools/Equipment forum then you could add another category (WTBR) for Wanted To Borrow. I often see posts in VAC or tech forums by people looking for a specific tool/socket (or OBD code reader) they need to work on their vehicle. Much better to have them in one place instead of strewn all over various forums.

Miscellaneous Tech & Tools - REVscene Automotive Forum

There's already a tech/tool section but no one ever uses it. Same with people with tech issues - instead of posting in Tech, they just post in VAC and the threads never get moved to the appropriate forum.

^ Yeah, but that's not a place to list something for sale. If I'm shopping for tools (or selling) that's the last place I'd think of to look. I'm going to go to the Buy & Sell section and try to see which forum matches my items the closest. And right now there's no place to sell tools/equipment.

And if threads aren't getting moved then maybe the mods should start cracking down on them.
