Has Microsoft Gone Nuts?

Microsoft just announced that Office 365 users get their OneDrive storage upped to a massive 1TB at no additional cost.

I just recently converted to Office 365 Home for my family at $99.99 per year (or $9.99 monthly) for 5 users and EACH USER gets 1TB. So that's a whopping 5TB of storage for only $99.99 per year, and I get a full version of Office (full as in Access, Outlook, OneNote and Publisher) thrown in for good measure.

I literally had to re-read Microsoft's announcement over a couple times to make sure I wasn't misreading anything. This to me is such a good deal I wonder if it will attract any antitrust regulators (perhaps accusing MS of using their position to bully other cloud providers or trying to lock more people into Office by basically giving it away for free).

Google is also $9.99 for 1TB, Dropbox is $15

100GB is $2 at Google and $4 at MS

They're all getting cheaper, except Apple

It's 2GB, not 200MB.

Box and Dropbox are still expensive. Apple's iCloud Drive now charges the same $3.99/200GB as Microsoft. They don't have a 1TB plan to compare with.

BTW, where did you get $15 for Dropbox? Only package I saw from them at $15 was business, and it required min 5 users with each user paying $15.

However, nobody can touch MS with Office 365. For the same $9.99/month that Google charges for 1TB MS gives you 5TB and Office.

I just quickly googled it, not sure exactly how much each plan costs... I stand corrected though, and you're right, that MS deal is really good.
