Is Amazon that desperate for growth? They're literally getting into everything now and bleeding massive money.

Hopefully they don't try to monetize off of live tournaments. E-sport's probably not ready for a subscription based model other than the few tournaments a year like the International. And the day they do, I'm hopping over to their nemesis and watching YouTube VODs.

I'd honestly rather have Amazon buy Twitch than Google. If Google bought it, you know for sure they would want some sort of Google+ integration, look at Youtube.

Both Amazon and Twitch mutually benefit from this acquisition. Twitch will be able to utilize all of Amazon's web services (if they don't already) and they will be able to bring a better streaming service. We'll also probably see Twitch integration with their Fire products as well.

They also need to roll back these changes with the copyrighted content as it's messing up a lot of the older VODs which is a really bad experience.

I doubt they would try and monetize off of live tournaments, I like their subscription model for each channel but I don't seem them doing it per tournament.
