Look What I Found.....

So after parking the car and walking home i stumbled upon this little guy

Then he started to take a shit everywhere so i put him in the sink

Crawled everywhere making noise so onto the cutting board he goes :ilied:

Seriously though what am I susposed to do with a turtle. No name tag or anything (for obvious reasons). Maybe if he had a name collar or something LOL

murd0c 09-13-2014 01:31 PM

Where did you find him? I have seen wild turtles before but of course in a park with lakes and such

Geoc 09-13-2014 01:34 PM

Looks like a tortoise to me, where did you find it precisely? Some people release their tortoise into parks when they cant keep em anymore.

Do you intend to keep it or do you plan to release it again?

LP700-4 09-13-2014 01:43 PM

I live in residential area nowhere near a park so I doubt its a wild old. Hot ass day but i might go knocking on some doors later see if anyone has any info.

murd0c 09-13-2014 01:45 PM

I would give Reptile Rescue a call, they will be able to re-home it.

I had a bunch of turtles a few years ago.. and after a while they grew way too big for our tank/house, but I didn't want to just release them in some random park or something.

I found this place in Abbotsford that takes in any unwanted reptiles. They seem to be mostly running off of sponsors, so I made a donation to them in person as well.

The Reptile Guy Rescues Reptiles, Lizards and Surrendered Reptiles

It was a bit of a drive, but I knew I'd sleep better knowing they're adequately taken care of.

Please don't make turtle soup out of him :(

if you cannot find a home for it, please contact me.

i have kept tortoise, ball pythons, geckos and chameleons and still have housing, lighting to home it.

Found the owner who lives couple houses down. Apparantly it ran away down half a block in approx 20 mins. Who says turtles are slow haha.

Kind of wanted to keep the little guy in the end :okay: Maybe ill get one as a pet sometime

They're surprisingly nimble... Tortoises not so much, but I had a red eared slider before and he ran away - from our 8th floor apartment :QQ:

We never did find the body, and nobody reported it.. To this day we don't exactly know what happened to Myrtle. :QQ:

The little guy is worth 300?

Maybe i should've kept him after all :joy:

All jokes aside (semi-notjoking), owner was more than happy to have been reunited. Makes my day to see someone so relieved. Im sure some would've had other plans for the turtle but I wouldn't since I'd hate to be the one that lost it.
