| 4G LTE vs. H+
What is the difference between 4G LTE vs. H+?
Is 4G LTE what Robelus runs on? I was told Wind runs on H+
Is there a significant difference between the two?
I'm currently on Telus 3G and it's "ok" for loading apps, light browsing while on the train, etc.

LTE allows for higher bandwidth over HSPA(+)
So basically, if you want to download files faster, surf net faster, then LTE... but apparently, it uses battery more then H+ does...
Im always near Wifi, so not using LTE isnt a big issue for me...
Once we get VoLTE, voice calls will be even more clear... this would be good...

Does GVRD have 4G and/or LTE coverage?

is there a noticeable difference from 3G/3.5G to 4G/LTE? I remember those Rogers ads now.. is it as fast as that?
Trying to figure out if I should stay with Robelus or go with Wind.

Wind doesnt have LTE as of now.. and their data speed is considerable less then rogers as well as their coverage... the only plus is its a lot chaper...
LTE speed is a lot faster then HSPA... in most cases, real world speeds of HSPA can reach around 15Mbps max... avg around 6-8Mpbs... Depending on area, LTE can top out at around 60-80Mbps and avg speed would be around 20-30Mbps... again, location can vary...

I have been on LTE for 2yrs with my note 2
Speed is as quick as home internet. HSPA can barely watch youtube and games.
I cant wait until HK has LTE-A...HD video and uploading files will be much quicker

Not sure about Canada... but using VoLTE in HK right now (1010) and the voice quality is not that that spectacular... on par with landline quality in Canada (which is actually quite good)

Volte is said to be much clearer if both sides are volte.
The real benefit of volte is phone no longer needs to switch to 3g to speak

LTE doesn't use that much more power but what does is your phone having to switch from 3g <-> LTE. There simply isn't enough towers in GVA for LTE to work with out dropping to 3g and once it does the device will continue to find the LTE band thus reducing battery life.
Although LTE is a lot faster I've still been using 3G on my phone as loading most sites its still manageable and even while watching videos via youtube or playing music via pandora I have no problems while streaming in the car. While on LTE from time to time and depending on area I do get little buffer segments.

I was with Wind and ran some speed tests in the "Home Zone" where there's no shortage of cellular and data signal and the fastest reading I got was 2mbps but it was consistently between 1 and 1.4
Running a speed test with Koodoo (Telus) on the same phone and area with LTE, I got a consistent 50mbps and topping 70+ mbps
