Dhak and Mantel were shot to death at a Burnaby hotel in broad daylight.

Dhak is believed to have been a prominent local gang leader, while Mantel has been described as his bodyguard.

Being from north bby, seen posts on other people's Facebook walls about this. Apparently and this is based on one persons comments on someone's wall so take it with a grain of salt. The deceased started dating a girl and the girls ex was not cool with it. To murder someone because of this seems kind of excessive. Who knows though.

Brentwood area is not a bad area. But with how much growth is happening there and being near a sKytrain, it will bring some negative consequences.
