Can you help me make an "indy" type CD?

Ok, so I only listen to house... Which is a problem because I don't know many songs with lyrics in them.

I want to make a CD that I can play on my way to work at 8am in the morning. I just don't feel like house in the morning, but I honestly don't know what else to listen to.

If you guys could put your favourite songs at the moment that would be great.

I really like Sam Smith's - Stay with me. So music like that would be nice.

Thanks!!!

If you like Sam Smith....you can't just listen to Sonic/Beat and the like? They repeat songs like a motherfucker anyways......

Btw Sam Smith ain't indy, so you need to be specific. Or just use spotify

Clearly, I don't know what indie is.

I was hoping you guys could post actual songs.

Check out thepeak 102.7. They have some pretty dope indie, alt rock, and rock. Oh and Sam Smith isn't indie at all haha

Let me know how you like it. I can recommend you a bunch of other alt/indie stuff that I like, but The Suburbs is my all time fave.

I had no clue what it was when a friend introduced me to the genre. The term made no sense ... turns out indie just means independent. Which makes for pretty damn good non mainstream music.

"Independent music (often shortened to indie music or indie) is music produced independently from major commercial record labels or their subsidiaries, a process that may include an autonomous, do-it-yourself approach to recording and publishing."

here's one... heard this song in the show Suits.
may the force be with you on your search!

If you don't like any of these tracks you're probably not looking for "Indy" music. These are the closest ones i could recommend in regards to the video you posted. If you're looking for more upbeat, let me know and i'll post more.
