2K, 4K or 5K monitors

How practical is it to get a 4K and 5K monitor for PC?

There is the latest 27" 5K PC monitor in Dell Store earlier, but the text is so small, you have to read it like an old man. I don't know if Windows 8.1 or later 10 can do scaling or dpi adjustment, I afraid the OS itself will make things look shittier than not having 4K.

Xmas is near, whether I should go 4K and 5K, or stick with 2K for now?

No reason to get 5K.

2K is optimal until around 24"

Anything 27" and over I'd say 4K is best.

Made the jump to MBP retina display and damn it looks pretty amazing. Makes me feel like my eye's been missing out. I have tri-screen setup at work and i've been contemplating to upgradign them to 2160's ... the thing is the the price is high and also, there really isn't any content out right now to satisfy my constant UHD cravings Having the extra workspace would be nice though.

2K and 4K are about the same price...+/-$200, so getting a higher res monitor is tempting, but I heard bad thing about running 2K resolution on a 4K monitor. not sure how it will look like.
