Driver arrested immediately after being prohibited from driving

Kind of a shame they didn't mention his name. The public should be aware of someone that sucks so much at driving, that they potentially put a lot of people in danger. Anyone know this guy? Maybe he's on RS.

Quote:

With the judge’s six-month road ban still ringing in his ears, a man jumped into his car outside of court and — drove home.

Moments earlier, the Richmond resident, 25, who has not been named by police, pleaded guilty to nine traffic violations, stemming from an incident on April 11, 2013 when he was spotted by police speeding excessively through a residential neighbourhood, ignoring posted signs and not signaling.

As a result, he was charged with failing to stop for police, excessive speed, changing lanes without signaling, unsafe lane change, failing to obey a stop sign, failing to display his new driver sign, slow driving, failing to signal on turn and failing to wear his seatbelt.

After hearing the driver's plea, the judge, apparently appalled by the man’s behaviour, imposed a six-month driving prohibition, effective immediately.

However, police watched as the man left the courthouse holding a set of keys, leading them to suspect he may attempt to drive home.

Their suspicions were right, as the man was then spotted driving up to his residence shortly afterwards.

He was then arrested by police for prohibited driving and the vehicle he was driving was impounded. He will be appearing in court on March 12, 2015.

Why wasn't he arrested in the parking lot of the courthouse and paraded back upstairs?

Clearly a fine doesn't get the message through his head. He needs some jail time.

Hondaracer 11-27-2014 04:15 PM

honestly, this happens -ALL- the time, like crazy

through aquaintances i know at least two people who got severe driving suspensions within the last 6 years. Basically originating with DUI's. They then got rolled driving 2-3 times during the year prohibition, and in one case the guy actually got his licensce back after short of 2 years and got ANOTHER DUI.

Both are driving back with N's these days, but basically full licences and back on the road.

Dragon-88 11-27-2014 04:28 PM

I know a few high roller Richmond kids who have suspended licenses. What they do is just switch cars with their buddies or they change their registration with a friend who has a clean record and just keep on driving. Then only time they will get caught is through road blocks. Unless busted for reckless driving. There's so many loopholes in our driving systems its uncontrollable. They'll never learn it's a given.

J_Crow 11-27-2014 04:36 PM

Was he of the Asian descent?

threezero 11-27-2014 04:49 PM

I have to say I know many ppl like that too. It's easy to get your license suspended when ur N. With a suspension your date for class 5 get push back. These ppl just continue driving with a suspended license sometimes they even drive after drinking (thankfully nor of them drunk, would of been legal if they have class 5)

Maybe now the powers that be will realize our justice system is fucked up and simply too lenient, especially as it relates to young drivers. While the guy who racked up all those tickets and drove while prohibited is indeed a useless shit-rat, it shows a failure of our justice system to properly enforce and give meaningful, lasting punishments to people who repeatedly break the law. If a person is stupid/smart enough to ignore their punishment and the consequences of their decisions, it isn't as much as a problem with the person (though I am sure this person is a Class-A Jerkoff) as it is with the broken system that allows them to do that.

It's simply too easy to get "prohibited" and keep driving as if nothing happened, realistically if you don't break any laws (or get caught doing so lol) and stay off the road on Fri/Sat/Sun nights after 8PM you will never get caught. Happened to a couple of guys at my high school and they never got busted.

someone here gotta know somebody that know this guy's facebook.

One of my friends, a girl, knew a guy who used to pay girls to hang out with him.

Why?

Because he had a DUI and they installed a breather on his car. He was a real schmoozer and womanizer and so he needed to drive to see all the girls he was banging. He would pay a girl to blow on the DUI thing to get the car started so he could drink. These girls would also be paid to wait in a local coffee shop or whatever so he could have dinner/drinks/have sex with the women he was dating.

Apparently dude drove like that for a long time and got caught once, even after catching him the punishment wasn't very serious from what I remember her telling me.

GLOW 11-27-2014 05:44 PM

so he paid a girl to do a blowjob - but not on him, so he can go out to get a blowjob - on him.

that's when you know you have too much money to blow :troll:

Mr.HappySilp 11-27-2014 07:05 PM

What's worse was ICBC will allow you to drive with a China driving liscense. Or you can trade it in to get a Vancouver (not 100% sure about this).

RMCP was trying to say that because there is no way to tell if the said liscense obtain is through legal means or not so therefore they were giving ppl fines. However ICBC don't agree. Simply is too much money for them to lose if these ppl can't drive.

Caught that right after I posted. I thought I edited my post to say I realized my mistake, guess I got caught up with other shit at work and didn't hit the save button.

Regardless. This guys is a tool, slam him with the biggest possible fine, and ban him from driving permanently.
