Plus, just because a car's owner may be a top-notch mechanic (speaking generally here, obviously doesn't apply in this case), doesn't mean he drives a perfectly repaired and maintained car. When you do something for a living day-in and day-out, the last thing you generally want to do is come home and do the same damn thing. I install high-end surveillance systems so people instantly assume my house is bristling with super-high-def cameras... nope, I have a couple basic cameras with poorly-hidden wiring in easy-to-reach locations, that's it... just don't want to put in that amount of work when I come home to relax.
